Young carer Portal — a new website packed with information about young carers!

We launched this site to help build a network among people who support young carers.
Support for young carers has only just begun across Japan, and there are still large regional gaps.
Through this site, initiatives by different regions and organizations can be shared nationwide, creating a way for municipalities and organizations to exchange their own support resources.

Because information about young carers is currently scattered, the site brings together news and topics about young carers in one place.

The site lists the government departments responsible for young carers in every prefecture across Japan.

Learn about support initiatives
We are progressively publishing the initiatives of private organizations and self-help groups, as well as municipalities working on young carer support.

Read personal stories
The site carries the personal stories of young carers, young adult carers, and former young carers — told honestly, just as they are.

A map of the prefectures and municipalities where the “Young Carer Channel” — a LINE consultation service for young carers and young adult carers — is available.
