Cosmos Initia Co., Ltd. donated 3.526 million yen to the Association

Cosmos Initia Co., Ltd. has donated 3.526 million yen to support the Association’s work for young carers. We are deeply grateful for this generous donation.

Cosmos Initia’s core businesses are its residential business, providing homes such as new condominiums and detached houses; its solutions business, covering the development, brokerage, and rental management of income properties; and its hospitality business, developing and operating apartment hotels for families and groups on medium- to long-term stays, including inbound visitors. To create “value one step ahead” for customers and society, the company pursues its mission — “Next GOOD: for customers and for society, one step ahead in thinking, one step ahead in value” — and aims to help solve social issues through its products and services.

The donation from Cosmos Initia has been put to careful use mainly in the following three initiatives:

• Holding events and symposiums to build social networks among young carers and among their supporters (subsidized by the Children and Families Agency)
• Building the Association’s new donation platform
• Running a room in our relocated office as a safe space for young carers — a place where young people we support directly, mainly through LINE consultations and our municipal coordinator work, can take a temporary break from caring and family, focus on themselves, and relax

All of these initiatives are essential for delivering high-quality support to more children and young people who provide care, and for widening the circle of young carer support across society. This donation allows us to build a stronger, more sustainable support system for young carers.

The Association has advanced its work for young carers thanks to donations from many individuals and organizations. With this donation, we will further expand our support system and continue striving for a society where every child and young person who provides care can live their own life.
